| ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ PRESIDENT’S FORUM Having just completed our August EAA Chapter 1236 meeting, it is time once again to post our Chapter Newsletter. I would like to start out by again thanking Ollie and Lorene Washburn for their hospitality in allowing us the use of their hangar for our meeting, as well as their usual very well done refreshments. I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Ollie and Lorene’s friends Bill and Elaine Metz who were our guests during our meeting. Bill and Elaine have just purchased a new home at Love’s Landing, and will soon not only be our newest Chapter members, they will also be our new neighbors. Welcome to both of them. I would also like to make welcome our Chapter’s two newest members, Jerry and Marlene Degayner. I know you all join me in their welcome. Their membership puts our Chapter membership at over 100. Just three short years ago, our Chapter membership was only 26. I would like to thank also all those who gave us updates on their individual aircraft projects. Leonard Elmendorf will be compiling an Equipment-Availability Listing for our Chapter. As alot of our members have specialty equipment, it would be nice for our Chapter to have a listing of what is available, as well as who ownes it . If you have these items, and are willing to make it available to those who may need it to complete a phase of their project aircraft, than please contact Leonard, (e - mail or phone) so it can be included on this listing. We opened the floor for nominations for Chapter officers, we received nominations for the following: President -------- Ollie Washburn Vice pres.--------- Clint Rule Sec / tres.--------- Lorene Washburn All very fine and qualified nominations. The floor will be opened for additional nominations during our September and October meetings. We need maximum participation from our membership for this very important nomination and election process. Elections will take place during our NOVEMBER meeting. All our members should think about who you would like to nominate for these positions, and be there for the nominations , and for the elections . That is all I have for now. See you all at our next meeting on 13 September -Washburn’s hangar. Until then, fly safely, Chuck Mosely Chuckmo ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ |
